Fluoridation
October through April of each year Matawan purchases its water supply from New Jersey American Water. The water delivered to the Matawan system by New Jersey American does contain approximatley 1 part-per-million of fluoride. The Matawan water plant provides water to the town May through September of each year. The water does not contain fluoride during this period.
