Statement from the Mayor and Council Regarding Extension On Second Quarter Taxes

On May 5th the Mayor and Council approved a resolution to extend the grace period to pay 2nd quarter taxes until June 1st. Governor Murphy’s Executive Order #130 passed the other day, grants NJ municipalities the ability to take this action via resolution.  The June 1st extension is the maximum allowed under the executive order.

Council President Gunn stated, “We empathize with the current situation our residents may face and we are glad to be in a position to help them during this time and we intend on passing the resolution. “

Stay safe!
